Today's female teacher sex scandal comes to us from Union County, North Carolina where the Spanish teacher at Parkwood High School has resigned after being accused of having a relationship with an 18-year-old student. Now before you start posting comments about the "age of consent" in NC, let's remind everyone that most states now have laws that make it a crime for teachers, coaches, ministers, etc to have any kind of "inappropriate relationship" with a student, regardless of their age.

How do you say "Please don't tell anyone about this or I'll go to jail" in Spanish?

The Union County Sheriff’s Office said 27-year-old Melissa Bitz had sex with an 18-year-old student at Parkwood High School in Monroe, where she was a first-year Spanish teacher. Bitz was arrested on Tuesday night at her Indian Trail home and charged with a sexual act by a custodian.

Keanu Gallardo, 14, suffered a concussion at Del Mar High School in San Jose, Calif., but his mother isn't angry about that.

 "That's what happens in football," she said. She's less happy about what happened when the ambulance arrived: Principal Liz Seabury refused to allow paramedics to drive it onto the field, instead making them walk the gurney 75 yards down the gridiron to retrieve the boy. "I was told not to let vehicles onto the field," Seabury explained.

Liz Klein, the principal of Osbourne Primary School in Mt. Martha, Vic., Australia, had a problem with "anti-social behavior" at her school, so she fixed it -- by banning socializing.

Large groups of students were, according to her, "entertaining themselves at other kids' expense," so her new rule prohibits students from being in groups of more than three. She claims the school of 600 students doesn't have a bullying problem, just large packs of students aggravating other students. "So we thought if we just came up with an idea of stopping the groups, it could stop the problem," she said. "It seems to be working (MS/Melbourne Herald Sun)

THE VERDICT: Luckily, with the short-term success there's no chance that curing anti-social behavior with anti-social rules will cause any long-term effects.

For school spirit week, Dan DePaolis, 17, a senior at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School in Hamilton, Mass., dressed up as a knight and rode his father's horse, Pierre, around the school, led by a classmate dressed as a squire. Minutes into the ride, the high school's Associate Principal put a stop to it, suspending DePaolis on the spot for two days, and his squire for one. Even though the horse was calm, under control, and walking at a slow pace, the school administrator "told my son it's the equivalent of bringing in a loaded firearm to school," said Dan's father, Ron. THE VERDICT: Amazingly, when the horse turned around nobody could tell Pierre apart from the associate principal.

Montebello High School in California
You will not see this heart-stopping photo on the front page of the NY Times, nor on the lead story of the major news networks. The protestors at Montebello High School took the American flag off the school's flag pole and hung it upside down while putting up the Mexican flag over it.  (*See pictures below*)
 

I predict this stunt will be the nail in the coffin of any guest-worker/ amnesty plan on the table in Washington ... The image of the American flag subsumed to another and turned upside down on American soil is already spreading on Internet forums and via e-mail.

Pass this along to every American citizen in your address books and to every representative in the state and federal government.. If you choose to remain uninvolved, do not be amazed when  you no longer have a nation to call your own nor anything you have worked for left since it will be 'redistributed' to the activists while you are so peacefully staying out of the 'fray'. Check history, it is full of nations/empires that disappeared when its citizens no longer held their core beliefs and values. One person CAN make a difference....
