YESTERDAY THE BRASS AT ABC NEWS ISSUED ORDERS FORBIDDING REPORTERS TO WEAR LAPEL PIN AMERICAN FLAGS OR OTHER PATRIOTIC INSIGNIA.  THEIR REASONING WAS THAT ABC SHOULD REMAIN NEUTRAL ABOUT 'CAUSES'.

SINCE WHEN IS SUPPORT FOR PREVENTING DEATH AND DESTRUCTION SOME SORT OF A 'CAUSE'?  

SINCE WHEN IS PATRIOTISM TO BE DISCOURAGED?

I URGE YOU TO BOYCOTT ABC AND ITS SPONSORS AND AFFILIATES.  WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING EVERYTHING OUR COUNTRY STANDS FOR AND EVERYTHING OUR MEN AND WOMEN FOUGHT AND DIED TO PRESERVE!

I recently took a short break from the PC long enough to get rid of this massive pounding headache that has plagued me for days. I decided to pick up a book I recently acquired (a woman had left it on a flight we shared together from Pananma City, FL to Miami a few weeks ago).

Now, I normally wouldn't have picked up a stranger's book, well, with all the germs and swine flu going around; but as I stared down into that large, lonely first class leather seat next to me I couldn't help but to be intrigued by the title - Why Women Have Sex.

At first I pondered over the thought of the 350 pound Ukranian woman that had left it in the seat. I thought, "Was this the audience the authors were intending to target?" I shook my head realizing I might have been being a little judgmental about the lack of sex life my sweaty, mole covered ex flight-neighbor probably had. I decided to pick it up and read it only after disguising it in the cheesy airline magazine from the seat-back holder in front of me.

As I read, I was simply amazed at how naive we men must actually be when it comes to women and their sexual agendas. The book told me that women rarely have sex because of a need for intimacy or because they are attracted to a man or even for pleasure. It said that the main reasons were to get gifts, avoid boredom or even to circumvent arguments.

Now, I can remember a few sexual encounters I had (back in my partying youth days) where I gleamed over the thought that a woman had just had sex with me because she found me to be "simply irresistible". Have I been wrong all these years. Are men really the 'meat' in society? I always thought the general consensus was that it was the other way around.

The book also went on to say they did a study of 1,000 women from all ages, races and walks of life to gather this information.  Some of these women even said they only had sex because they couldn't think of a reason not to. Does this mean they are lacking the ability to be creative, too lazy to care or just highly unmotivated? I would like to think that the moans and groans I regularly hear (and sometimes screams) from the lovely ladies I share my scepter with are genuine reactions to pleasure and stimulation - not mustered up lamentation of the current events.

I do, however, remember some incidents where I was aware that the woman I was fornicating with really wasn't enjoying the moment. Of course, for  $100 an hour, I really wasn't expecting her to. But that was only twice.

THE VERDICT: So is the targeted audience for this book men or women? I cannot honestly say because I gathered no real information from it that was worth a damn. It sort of degraded a woman's true sexual motivations and seemed to try to make men think they are incapable of being sexually attractive. I think I will go back to reading my favorite book on Tantra. At least it maintains that men 'are' sexually attractive and sexual orgasms can be achieved with just the mind. That's the kind of laziness I like ;-)
