"Putting the fun back into funerals" is what Monohan's Funeral Home is trying to achieve by applying to the city of Providence, R.I. for a license to add a new Irish pub inside their mortuary. Publican Mark Russell says the
 mortuary has been in business in Providence since 1876, and promises that "We'd never allow something to develop that would be adverse to the neighborhood." (WPRI-TV)

THE VERDICT: Although the application was met with a lot of opposition by county reps, the locals, however, are glad to finally have a place where they can drink in the mourning.
